Jay Alger received a Bachelor of Music in voice from Boston University some time ago, in a previous century – and has been an AFM member for over 40 years. He conducted CATS, STARLIGHT EXPRESS, LES MISÉRABLES and MISS SAIGON on Broadway; national tours of 42nd STREET, CATS, ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER – MUSIC OF THE NIGHT, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, RAGTIME, Disney’s THE LION KING, ANYTHING GOES and most recently Rodgers & Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA and THE SOUND OF MUSIC. A resident of Las Vegas since 2006, he was the associate conductor of PHANTOM – THE LAS VEGAS SPECTACULAR at The Venetian and the music director of Disney’s THE LION KING at Mandalay Bay.
