FEATURED MUSICIAN

Michelle Johnson sings everything from jazz and R&B to classic rock and opera. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, she regularly performs sold out, self-produced shows at the Smith Center’s Myron’s Cabaret Jazz and has performed on Broadway and been seen on several major television networks in the USA and overseas. Michelle has appeared with many well-known major recording artists including Paul McCartney, Elton John, Gladys Knight, Barbra Streisand, Sheena Easton, Slash, Paul Rogers, Spyro Gyra, David Foster, David Cassidy, and Neal Schon (of Journey) among others.

The child of a Liberian diplomat and an American educator, Michelle grew up in Cairo, Egypt. She speaks several languages and is a Yale University graduate. Her original path to Harvard Law School diverged onto a different route when her passion for the entertainment industry eventually won out.

Michelle also produces entertainment for major corporations and continues to contract choirs, singers, and musicians for headliners like Barbara Streisand, Rosanne Cash, the Eagles, Michael Bublé, and several other celebrities. She is currently recording an album of original compositions.
